Two Iran documentaries to screen in Cambridge festival

Two Iranian documentaries will go on screen at the 37th Cambridge Film Festival.

A couple of Iranian documentaries have been selected to compete at the Cambridge Film Festival in the United Kingdom next month.

‘Pruning Season’ by Loqman Khaledi and ‘A157’ by Behrouz Nouranipour will vie in the official competition section of the 37th edition of the festival, which will be held October 19-26.

Loqman Khaledi's film narrates the lstory of an Iranian man who tries to prove his claim of having produced a drug against cancer.

Meanwhile, Nouranipour documentary ‘A157’ tells the story of Daesh terrorists and their atrocities in the Middle East. The doc has been awarded at several domestic and international fests, including the International Festival Signes De Nuit held in Italy.

The annual Cambridge Film Festival remains the UK’s third-longest-running film festival.
